State of the ROW industry

An annual survey of how this work actually gets done

Nobody publishes reliable industry-wide data on IVM adoption, clearing cycles, procurement practice, safety performance or technology use in right of way vegetation management. Operators compare themselves against anecdote. The consortium intends to fix that with an annual survey and a published report.

Not yet running

This does not exist yet, and it cannot exist until enough organizations that do not share a vendor are willing to answer honestly. That is the whole difficulty: the value of the report is exactly proportional to how independent the sample is. It is the clearest reason to join early — the first report will be built from whoever is at the table when it runs.

Register interest in the survey

What it would cover

  • IVM adoption and the treatment mix actually in use

  • Clearing cycle length, and how often the planned interval holds

  • Procurement practice, award criteria and contract length

  • Safety performance, and which leading measures are tracked

  • Technology adoption, and what is used versus purchased

  • Environmental restrictions and how they vary by jurisdiction

  • Contractor availability, turnover and labour conditions
